SECA City Chevrolet Weekly Points Final Week Upcoming

Two points stand between 1st,2nd and the $7,500

With the final weekend now upon us, the pressure is on, and teams have began to play out all scenarios to see how they may fare at the end of the weekend.

Union Mills N.C native Furman Parton (537), sits atop the City Chevrolet Championship Standings only by two points over Union S.C driver Trent Ivey (535). Eleven points out of first is Adam Yarbrough (526) out of Denver N.C. They are followed by Nick Deitz (517) Joey Phillips (515) Terry Bullard (507) and Michael Brown (506).

With a late season charge in the Roger Iwerks prepared 6p machine, Furman has put himself in a great position to capture the title. We are not out of the woods yet, there are some great teams behind us, in Ivey and Yarbrough. Those guys have had tremendous seasons, and we have just been very fortunate with only one mechanical failure thus far. We just want to continue winning races and see where we stack up here at the end. said Parton

. To have a points race this close, that far back through the standings, that is huge and it just goes to show the amount of competition and talent that we have had the fortune of watching this year. Too many scenarios still remain to try and predict what may happen this weekend. I just know its going to be nerve racking for the drivers, and teams and exciting for everyone else to watch. Stated Timmy Mcabee

Drivers and teams please go and double check the entire points spreadsheet, the sheet is posted at If there are any discrepancies, please contact SECA, we want to be sure everyone is given their full points.
